A leading member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Odeneho Kwaku Appiah, known popularly as Chairman Coka, has suggested that it is time policemen and women are given the opportunity to vote on who becomes the inspector general.
He is of the view that giving the authority to the police personnel will help prevent the Inspector General of Police from becoming a stooge of the incumbent government.
Coka shared this opinion while commenting on the lack of representation for the people of Ablekuma North in the Greater Accra Region.
To him, it is about time the IGP and all concerned come together to resolve the issues at stake and declare the winner of that constituency.
