Solomon Asamoah, the former Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Infrastructure Investment Fund (GIIF), who is being prosecuted together with Prof Christopher Ameyaw-Akumfi, a former Board Chairperson of the fund, in the $2 million Accra Sky Train case, has finally been released on bail.

Prof Ameyaw-Akumfi was released on Monday, May 26, 2025, after he met the conditions of his GH¢10 million bail, but Solomon Asamoah, who was the first to be granted GH¢15 million bail, remained in the custody of the security authority after failing to meet the conditions of the bail.

According to GHOne TV, the embattled former GIIF Chief Executive Officer (CEO) was granted bail on Wednesday, June 4, 2025, after meeting all the conditions of the bail.
