Communications Team member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dennis Miracles Aboagye, has questioned the impact of the dollar's reduction on the lives of ordinary Ghanaians if fuel prices increase.

His question follows the introduction of the Fuel Levy, which forces every Ghanaian to pay GHC 1 per litre when purchasing petroleum products.

To him, the government cannot tout the reduction of prices at luxurious appliances and furniture shops while the market women at Malata continue to suffer because transport fares are up. "The introduction of this levy will mean that transport fares are going to skyrocket.

This will mean that the appreciation of the dollar will have no effect on the market women at Malata.
