Mahamudu Bawumia has launched a sharp critique of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), accusing the Mahama-led government of betraying its campaign promises by introducing what he calls a "Dumsor Levy" - a new tax on fuel.

Speaking in Cape Coast during the final stop of his nationwide 'Thank You Tour' in the Central Region, Bawumia said Ghanaians are witnessing a clear contradiction between what the NDC promised and what they are now implementing in government. "The NDC has told a lot of lies.
