The Member of Parliament for Manhyia South, Nana Agyei Baffour Awuah, has called on the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) to apply the same standards in its dealings with former Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta as it did with Samuel Adam Mahama during the Airbus scandal.
Speaking on PM Express on JoyNews on Tuesday night, Awuah expressed his support for the Special Prosecutor, emphasising that the office exists to serve the state and fight corruption, not to engage in media battles. "I am on the side of the Special Prosecutor because the office works for the state and it's fighting corruption.
So, I would be concerned about the way forward. "Should the approach be a press conference to lambast or declare Ken Ofori-Atta wanted?
I would take a cue from how the OSP handled the Airbus scandal," he said.
