Former Vice President and New Patriotic Party (NPP) Flagbearer for the 2024 general elections, Dr.
Mahamudu Bawumia, on Tuesday, June 3, 2025, expressed his joy upon seeing the embattled Ashanti Regional Chairman of the party, Bernard Antwi-Boasiako, popularly known as Chairman Wontumi, following his release from the custody of the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO).
Chairman Wontumi visited Dr.
Bawumia after his release to thank the former Vice President for his support during his arrest.
