A 50-year-old female illegal miner died after she fell into an abandoned mining pit by accident.
The regrettable incident is said to have occurred on July 29, 2025, at approximately 9 a.m.
at Mpasatia, in the Atwima Mponua District of the Ashanti Region.
The deceased, identified as Auntie Akos, was working on her daily illegal mining activities where she got trapped in a pit.
