The Member of Parliament for Garu, Dr Thomas Anabah, has strongly criticized the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Bernard Antwi Boasiako, popularly known as Chairman Wontumi, accusing him of feigning illness to evade justice.
Speaking on Metro TV's Good Morning Ghana and monitored by GhanaWeb, Dr Anabah dismissed claims that Wontumi had suffered a stroke following his recent arrest. "Wontumi has proven to be someone who believes the country belongs to him.
Now, after a common arrest, he's suddenly limping.
He hasn't seen anything yet," Dr Anabah said, insisting that the NPP regional chairman must be held accountable for his alleged illegal mining activities and environmental destruction.
