A man has been arrested by the National Highway Patrol Unit of the Ghana Police Service after he was found transporting a large quantity of suspected narcotic drugs in the Greater Accra Region.
The suspect, Ernest Mohamed Adjiri, was apprehended during a covert intelligence-led operation while he travelling in a Hyundai i10 taxi, registered GW 9832-22.
Officers uncovered 120 slabs of what is believed to be compressed dried narcotic substances.
The drugs were concealed in three fertiliser sacks stashed inside the vehicle.
