The Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) has reactivated its wanted declaration against former Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta, effective June 2, 2025.   This development follows his failure to appear before the OSP as agreed, reigniting legal action over unresolved corruption allegations.Mr.

Ofori-Atta was previously listed as a "fugitive from justice" in February 2025 after consistently refusing to respond to multiple summons for questioning.

The investigations center on his role in high-profile matters, including government contracts with Strategic Mobilisation Ghana Limited (SML), the controversial National Cathedral project, and other financial activities during his term as Finance Minister from 2017 to 2024.

His name was temporarily removed from the wanted list on February 18, 2025, after his legal representatives assured the OSP of his voluntary return and confirmed June 2 as the date for his appearance.
