The Editor of Newscenta newspaper, Elvis Darko, has cast doubt on the relevance of the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP), arguing that its output since inception does not justify the substantial public resources invested in it.

Speaking on Breakfast Daily on Channel One TV on Monday, June 2, he stated that after more than eight years of operation, the OSP has achieved little to demonstrate its effectiveness in fighting corruption, the very reason it was established. "The OSP doesn't have a good record as we speak today in terms of the purpose for which we set them up.

Over eight years of establishment, and if you're looking for OSP's achievements, it is so insignificant.

We spend so much money on this organisation.
