The 's decision to conduct a parliamentary rerun in 19 polling stations within the Ablekuma North Constituency has sparked widespread discussions among the public, particularly among constituents, who, more than seven months after the December 7, 2024, elections, are still without a representative in Parliament.

A visit by GhanaWeb to Odorkor and its surrounding areas in the constituency on July 3, 2025, following the 's announcement, revealed several issues, notable among them is how deeply some constituents have been yearning for a resolution to the ongoing impasse over the rightful winner.

One of the residents who spoke welcomed the 's decision, describing it as 'necessary.' According to him, the delay stems from both parties' disagreements over the collation and declaration of results.

He added that the rerun will finally put all issues to rest. "I think it's necessary because both of them (NPP and NDC) have not agreed to the verdict that came earlier when the returning officer declared Ewurabena Aubynn the winner.
