Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Bernard Antwi Boasiako, widely known as Chairman Wontumi, has withdrawn his legal challenge to the bail conditions imposed on him by the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO).
The motion, filed at the High Court in Accra on May 30, 2025, was slated for hearing on Tuesday, June 3.
However, his legal team has withdrawn the application on Monday, June 2.
Chairman Wontumi had sought a revision of the GH¢50 million bail, describing it as excessive and potentially aimed at obstructing his release.
