The government remains firmly committed to promoting responsible and sustainable mining practices as a means to drive national development without compromising environmental integrity, according to Western North Regional Minister, Wilbert Petty Brentum.

Speaking during a working tour of Chirano Gold Mines and the Ghana Bauxite Company in the Western North Region, Brentum reiterated the administration's policy direction, stressing that mining must be done with the future in mind. "This government believes in mining as a driver of development, but it must be done the right way.

We will continue to support companies that are mining responsibly and giving back to the communities they operate in," Brentum stated during his tour.

His visit formed part of a broader effort to engage directly with industry players and assess compliance with environmental and operational regulations.
