The Cyber Security Authority (CSA) has issued a public warning regarding a resurgence in cyberbullying incidents perpetrated by the owners of digital lending mobile applications.

The Authority has recorded a sharp increase in complaints this year, highlighting an escalating threat to mobile users.

A statement released by the Cyber Security Authority (CSA) on May 11, 2025, revealed that it has received about three hundred and seventy-seven (377) reports from January to May of 2025. "Between January and May 2025, the CSA received a concerning 377 reports related to these cyberbullying tactics.

This marks a substantial rise compared to the 228 cases recorded throughout the entire year 2024, indicating a worrying trend," the statement partly said.
