The 37 Military Hospital in Accra has announced the temporary closure of its Medical Emergency Unit (MEU) from Wednesday, June 4 to Saturday, June 14, 2025, to allow for a comprehensive fumigation exercise.
In a press release dated May 30,2025, issued by Lieutenant R.K.
Kotoku on behalf of the Acting Director General of Public Relations of the Ghana Armed Forces, the exercise forms part of the hospital's efforts to enhance environmental hygiene and maintain a safe and sterile environment for both patients and staff.
During the 10-day closure, members of the public are advised to seek emergency medical care at alternative health facilities. "These include the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital, Greater Accra Regional Hospital (Ridge), Police Hospital, and Lekma Hospital", the statement said.
