In a surprising twist to the ongoing detention of NPP Ashanti Regional Chairman, Bernard Antwi Boasiako-popularly known as Chairman Wontumi-one name keeps surfacing with quiet but decisive influence: Bryan Acheampong.
The Minister for Food and Agriculture, known for his strategic roles behind the scenes, has reportedly played a pivotal role in the ongoing efforts to secure bail for the embattled party stalwart.
According to Wontumi's legal counsel, Lawyer Appiah Kubi, it was Acheampong's personal commitment and the submission of high-value property documents that moved the process significantly forward. "I'm very grateful to Honourable Bryan Acheampong who has supported me to file the documents.
He has brought his documents, which go over and above the value of money that is required," Lawyer Kubi disclosed.
