Mahamudu Bawumia, together with Minority Leader Alexander Afenyo-Markin, were turned away on Thursday when they attempted to visit embattled NPP Ashanti Regional Chairman, Bernard Antwi Boasiako, popularly known as Chairman Wontumi, at the National Intelligence Bureau (NIB) in Accra.
Chairman Wontumi, who was earlier picked up by the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO), is now in NIB custody as investigations continue into allegations surrounding his conduct.
