Former President has expressed his support for the upcoming National Day of Prayer and Thanksgiving, scheduled for July 1, 2025, emphasising the importance of grounding governance in values such as humanity, unity, and inclusiveness.
He made these remarks on Friday, May 30, 2025, when the Planning Committee for the event paid a courtesy call on him at his residence in Peduase.
Commending former President for initiating the event, Kufuor described Republic Day as a momentous occasion. "Republic Day marks the day Ghana appointed its first president.
It is not a day to be taken lightly.
