The Municipal Chief Executive of Nima Municipal Assembly in the Greater Accra Region, Alhaji Abdul-Fatahu Alhassan, has launched a bold anti-drug campaign dubbed "Say No to Drugs - Accra Ghetto Tour, Ride Your Bike," aimed at tackling the growing issue of drug abuse among youth across Ghana.
The campaign, which began with a motorbike rally through various communities, brought together over 100 riders from the Bikers Association of Ghana, in partnership with the Ghana Police Service.
The rally targeted inner-city neighbourhoods and ghettos, sensitising young people to the dangers of drug use and urging them to choose healthier, more productive lifestyles.
Speaking to the media during the event, Abdul-Fatahu stressed the importance of collective action in addressing drug abuse.
