Greater Accra Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Divine Agorhom, has revealed that the party's highest-ranking figures, including former Vice President and 2024 NPP flagbearer Dr.
Mahamudu Bawumia, are deeply involved in efforts to secure bail for embattled Ashanti Regional Chairman Bernard Antwi Boasiako, popularly known as Chairman Wontumi.
Speaking to Citi News, Agorhom noted that support for Wontumi transcends any single individual, underscoring that the party's leadership at all levels is working collectively to ensure his release from EOCO custody. "It is not only His Excellency Dr Mahamudu Bawumia but every senior party person.
We are hoping that the EOCO itself will be able to vary the condition a bit more lenient for us to meet," he stated.
