One person has been confirmed dead, while four others sustained injuries following a collision between a Man-Diesel fuel tanker and a HOWO truck at the Kintampo Waterfalls junction along the Kintampo-Tamale highway on May 28, 2025.
The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) reported that the incident occurred around 12:14 p.m.
when the two heavy-duty vehicles, a fuel tanker with registration number GN-4895-20 and a HOWO truck with registration number GE-555-23, collided under unclear circumstances.
According to the GNFS, a distress call was received shortly after the incident, prompting a swift emergency response.
