The Ministry of Transport has commenced expansion works at Terminal 2 of Kotoka International Airport (KIA) to reduce congestion at Terminal 3 and enhance overall airport efficiency.
The upgraded Terminal 2 will accommodate both domestic and international flights, with operations set to be introduced in two phases, the Ministry revealed.
This strategic initiative, jointly announced by the Ministry and KIA management, aims to address the increasing passenger traffic and overcrowding issues at Terminal 3 in recent years.
The Ministry expects the revamped Terminal 2 to significantly improve the passenger experience and streamline airport operations.
