A 25-year-old man, Nicholas Apotei, has allegedly died by suicide following the end of a romantic relationship with a woman he deeply loved in Edwenase, Ashanti Region.
According to Accra-based dailyguidenetwork.com, Nicholas, unable to cope with the heartbreak, reportedly hanged himself using a sponge tied to a noose that was fastened to a ceiling fan in his kitchen.
Reports indicate that his lifeless body was discovered around 10:00 AM on May 24, 2025, and the incident was immediately reported to the Mamponteng District Police.
His body was subsequently transported to the morgue for autopsy. "On 24/05/2025 at 1000 hours, Oliver Donkor of Edwenase came to the station and reported that his friend, Nicholas Apotei, aged 25, was found to have hanged himself in his kitchen at Edwenase," dailyguidenetwork.com quoted the police as saying.
