The Ghana Health Service (GHS) has confirmed 10 new cases of Monkeypox (Mpox), bringing the total number of recorded infections in the country to 19.

In a statement issued on Tuesday, the GHS revealed that five of the new patients are currently hospitalised and receiving treatment.

Fortunately, no deaths have been reported in connection with the latest outbreak.

Mpox is a viral illness transmitted through close contact with infected persons, animals, or contaminated materials.
