The United States Ambassador to Ghana, Virginia Palmer, has expressed her satisfaction with President John Dramani Mahama's commitment to improving Ghana's business climate, emphasising its importance for economic recovery and international investment.
Speaking on Channel One TV's The Point of View, on Monday, May 26, Ambassador Palmer highlighted that a stronger business environment benefits Ghanaian exporters and local companies while also attracting U.S.
investment.
She noted that throughout her tenure, she has engaged with the Ghanaian government on this issue and is pleased to see Mahama prioritise it. "Improvement to the business climate in general helps Ghanaian exporters, Ghanaian companies that are here and help encourage US investment in Ghana, and I have been talking with the government of Ghana about that my entire tenure, and I am very pleased to see President Mahama make that his number one priority, I think. "He talked in his inaugural address about improving the business climate as being essential to Ghana's economic recovery," Ambassador Palmer said.
