The United States Ambassador to Ghana, Virginia Palmer, has emphasised the importance of Ghana-U.S.
relations, stating that both nations must work together as equals despite differences in economic size and historical independence.
Speaking on the evolving nature of development assistance in a yet to be aired interview on Channel One TV's The Point of View, Ambassador Palmer clarified that the functions of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) will now be managed by the U.S.
State Department, specifically through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
