The Coalition of Unemployed Allied Health Professionals has threatened a nationwide demonstration if their concerns are neglected and not given the due employment they deserve.
According to the health professionals, their financial, emotional and psychological needs continue to worsen as they have remained at home without employment since 2019 after graduating from various accredited training institutions and following through with all due processes.
Addressing a press conference in Kumasi, Hussein Abdul Baaki, PRO for the Coalition, highlighted that they will not hesitate to hit the streets to press home their demands and their right to employment in subsequent days if they are not given clearance and posting as required.
According to him, several petitions to relevant stakeholders have yielded no results, a further indication of neglect. "Adding to the injustice, we are required by law to renew our professional licences annually at significant personal cost, even though we are not employed and not permitted to practice.
