The Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETFund) has clarified its position regarding its scholarship program and operations, stating unequivocally that it has not authorised any individual or entity to collect money on its behalf in exchange for scholarships.
The organisation said that it neither charges nor collects any fees for awarding scholarships or during the application process, emphasising that the process remains entirely free. "GETFund does not charge any fees at any stage of its scholarship application or award process.
No individual or organization has been authorised by the Fund to collect money on its behalf for any purpose related to scholarship awards," a GETFund statement read.
In a press statement issued on Friday, May 23, 2025, GETFund cautioned the public to remain vigilant and be on the lookout for fraudulent individuals posing as GETFund staff who solicit payments under the pretense of awarding scholarships.
