Supporters and senior members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) have gathered in large numbers at the residence of the party's Ashanti Regional Chairman, Bernard Antwi Boasiako, popularly known as Chairman Wontumi.
This comes after reports that National Security operatives carried out an operation at Chairman Wontumi's residence.
The motive behind the operation remains undisclosed, and it is still unclear whether he was present during the raid.
According to Channel One TV's Hafiz Tijani, the scene was tense, with heavily armed officers stationed around the property.
