The Ghana Police Service has arrested a suspect in connection with the gruesome murder of a Senior Lecturer at the University of Education, Winneba (UEW).
The arrest was made earlier today at the lecturer's residence in Essuokyir, following a report of the academic's disappearance.
The suspect, identified as Joshua Karry Arthur, was apprehended after the lecturer was reported missing on May 21, 2025, by colleagues who had been unable to reach him despite numerous attempts.
Police investigations led officers to the victim's residence, where Arthur was found and taken into custody.
