Ghana's defence minister has explained that the president and his vice president will be using a private jet for their travels for some time, as the presidential jet is in a sorry state.
According to him, the previous government left the presidential jet in a state not befitting the president, and therefore it needs some maintenance.
He explains that the fuel tank is even corroded.
Dr Omane Boamah indicated that currently, the Presidential jet is abroad and is being overhauled and maintained to make it fit for purpose.
