The news of her death was shared in a viral social media post on Wednesday May 21, 2025, with the caption, "A final-year student at the University of Cape Coast (UCC), Miss Candy Osei Abora, has sadly passed away. "Miss Candy reportedly met her untimely death following a fatal gas explosion that occurred on Monday, May 19, 2025.
