Special Aide to former Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, Dennis Miracles Aboagye, has expressed the view that the committee established to hear petitions regarding the removal of the suspended Chief Justice Gertrude Araba Sackey Torkornoo should be allowed to complete its work.
According to him, once the committee has completed its work, those opposing the Chief Justice's removal will be in a better position to thoroughly examine and critique the issue.
In Miracles Aboagye's submission, he argued that the entire process surrounding the Chief Justice's removal was part of a premeditated plan, with the decision already made.
He stated that no matter what is said, it will not be enough to persuade the government to reverse its decision to remove the Chief Justice. "… It is something that has been planned already, and so, I suggest we stop talking about it and allow the committee to complete its work before we delve into it.
