Renowned Ghanaian radio broadcaster Kofi Asare Brako, popularly known as "Abatey," has shared his near life-altering experience with stroke, revealing how the illness rendered him completely dependent on others for survival. Speaking in an emotional interview on Accra-based Peace FM, the celebrated sports journalist disclosed that his long absence from the airwaves was due to a severe stroke he battled for months."Like there could be a wheelchair by me and I couldn't even help myself to sit on it unless I was carried and put in it," he recounted. "I have really suffered.
All this while radio lovers were not hearing from me, it was sickness, stroke." The former Peace FM radio personality described the experience as deeply humbling and painful.
However, he announced with gratitude that he has now fully recovered, giving all the glory to God for the healing. "I am now perfectly fine.
It's the doing of the Lord," he said. "This whole ordeal and my healing have shown me the true power of God.
