Former Deputy Minister of Trade and Industry, Hon.
Michael Okyere Baafi, has dismissed recent claims by the National Democratic Congress (NDC) that cement prices have dropped to GHS 82.
In a strongly worded statement shared on social media, Mr.
Baafi asserted that the price of cement remains unchanged and that the government has not engaged with manufacturers to influence or reduce prices. "Despite claims from the NDC that cement prices have dropped to 82 Ghana Cedis, the truth is - prices remain unchanged," he stated. "The government has not held any discussions with cement manufacturers to bring prices down.
