Sheikh Hashim Baba Ibn, a respected Islamic cleric from Tamale, has rendered an unqualified apology over a Facebook post in which he criticised the National Hajj Taskforce for poor service during the 2025 Hajj pilgrimage.
In a video shared on the Facebook page of the Pilgrims Affairs Office of Ghana on 17 May, 2025, the cleric stated that the claims he made in the Facebook post, including complaints about poor service at his hotel, were not true.
He admitted that his comments were made out of ignorance and proceeded to publicly apologise. "My name is Hashim Baba.
