Renowned sports journalist and The Director General of the National Sports Authority, Yaw Ampofo Ankrah has expressed deep concern about the deteriorating state of sports facilities across Ghana, warning that the lack of consistent maintenance is turning away potential investors.   Speaking on Asaase Radio's Team Talk show, he pointed out that the country's failure to preserve its existing infrastructure poses a significant obstacle to attracting private capital into the sports sector."Our stadia are not up to standard.

The plan is to upgrade them so we can host top-tier sporting events, but at the moment, we're far from that.

We need to now close the gap and be consistent with the way we upgrade our edifice," he stated.

According to Ankrah, many sports facilities either lack proper management or have fallen into disrepair due to neglect.
