A newly constituted seven-member Governing Board of the National Lottery Authority (NLA) was inaugurated on Monday, May 19, 2025, with a renewed mandate to drive innovation, increase revenue, and tackle illegal lottery operations head-on.

The board is chaired by Fredrick Amissah, with members including the Director-General of the NLA, Mohammed Abdul-Salam; Edward Abrowkwah from the Ministry of Finance; Doreen Panyin Annan of the Interior Ministry; Solicitor-General Helen Akpene Awo Ziwu; Presidential nominee Gerald Baffour Awuah Bonsu; and Hon.

Faustina Elipklim Akurugu, Member of Parliament.

Speaking on behalf of Finance Minister Dr Cassiel Ato Forson, Deputy Minister Thomas Nyarko Ampem administered the oaths and charged the new board to reposition the NLA as a high-performing, digitally advanced, and development-focused institution.
