Former Vice President and 2024 presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr.

Mahamudu Bawumia, has predicted a strong political comeback for the NPP ahead of the 2028 general elections, expressing confidence that the party will reclaim power after its defeat in 2024.

Speaking at an engagement in London, Dr Bawumia stated that both historical trends and the performance of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in government would work in the NPP's favour moving forward. "I believe that in 2028, NPP is going to come back into government.
