Vision FC head coach Nana Agyemang has urged Ghana Premier League club owners to spend wisely after the Ghana Football Association (GFA) announced a âµ1 million financial package for each top-flight side.
Speaking during the GFA Congress, Agyemang stressed that the funding should directly benefit players and improve club operations. "My hope is that club owners will use these monies to take care of the players and the club as a whole.
If that happens, coaches can do a good job, and everything will go well." He believes proper management of the funds will remove the financial distractions that affected player performance last season. "Most clubs suffered last year in terms of salary payments.
Players would cry out, but with this money, they can be more settled and focus on games without worrying about financial burden." While commending the GFA and its president Kurt Okraku for securing the money, Agyemang maintained that the real impact will depend on how clubs use it.
