Three people, including a four-year-old girl, have been confirmed dead in the Adentan Municipality following torrential rains that caused severe flooding across parts of Accra on Sunday, May 18.
Municipal Chief Executive for Adentan, Ella Esiman Nongo, disclosed the fatalities during an interview on the Citi Breakfast Show on Monday morning.
According to her, the victims were found in different parts of the municipality-Lakeside, Nanakrom, and New Legon. "In Lakeside, we lost two people, including a four-year-old girl at Nanakrom and a gentleman around New Legon," Madam Nongo said.
The floods followed nearly three hours of continuous rainfall that began around 3:00 p.m.
