The Narcotics Control Commission (NACOC) has confirmed the arrest of another British national at Kotoka International Airport (KIA) for attempting to smuggle cannabis out of Ghana.
This marks the second such arrest involving a British citizen in less than 24 hours.
The latest suspect, a female passenger traveling on British Airways flight BA 2066 from Accra to Gatwick Airport in the United Kingdom, was found with a suitcase containing 32 slabs of substances suspected to be cannabis.
A field test confirmed the substance as cannabis, with a total weight of 17.72 kilograms.
