Member of Parliament for Akuapem North, Sammi Awuku, has expressed worry over the abuse of drugs by Ghanaian youth.
He is of the view that something drastic needs to be done to ensure that drug abuse is fought in the country, as it is destroying the youth.
Speaking at the Annual Conference of the Singing Band of the Akuapem Presbytery, the Member of Parliament called for a collaboration between the Church and his office to fight such abuses that are steadily eroding the values of Ghanaian society.
He said, "Today at the Annual Conference of the Singing Band of the Akuapem Presbytery, I spoke from a place of deep concern about the moral and cultural decline we're witnessing in Okuapeman and beyond.
