Contrary to recent claims suggesting Ghana Water Limited (GWL) is only now venturing into bottled water production, the company began this initiative as far back as 2018 under the Akufo-Addo administration.
Former Managing Director of GWL, Mr.
Clifford Braimah, has clarified that the state utility established a subsidiary, G-Water Limited, in 2018 after restructuring its mandate to include packaged water production.
According to him, the Kpong-based facility initially produced 3,000 bottles per hour, later increasing to 6,000-with plans to reach 12,000.
