The Abossey Okai Spare Parts Dealers Association has instructed its members to reduce prices of spare parts following the recent appreciation of the Ghana Cedi under the John Dramani Mahama-led administration.
In a statement issued on Saturday, May 18, the Association praised the government's strong economic measures, which it says have led to significant gains in the value of the local currency against the US Dollar. "This decision aims to provide relief to customers and support the government's ongoing efforts to stabilize prices of goods and services across the country," the Association stated.
Chairman of the Association, Mr.
Henry Okyere Jn, commended the Mahama administration for what he described as "bold and decisive steps" in strengthening the cedi and stabilizing the broader economy. "We pledge our full collaboration with the government to sustain this positive trend and ensure further appreciation of the Cedi, bringing much-needed economic relief to Ghanaians," he said.
