Majority Chief Whip and Member of Parliament for South Dayi, Rockson-Nelson Dafeamekpor, has called on public officials, particularly government appointees, to draw valuable lessons from the recent controversy involving Sammy Gyamfi and Evangelist Nana Agradaa.

Speaking on TV3's Key Points on Saturday, May 17, Dafeamekpor addressed the widely discussed issue that saw Sammy Gyamfi, the Acting CEO of the Ghana Gold Board (Goldbod), facing public backlash after a video surfaced showing him handing over dollar bills to Nana Agradaa at an event.

The gesture, captured on camera, sparked public outrage and raised questions about the conduct and judgment of public officials. "Sometimes we fall into this judgement as public officers.

So, we all have to be careful," Dafeamekpor cautioned. "It is a learning curve for all of us, we are still young in national politics and it's a guide for us." He urged members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and other public servants to be more mindful of optics and proper conduct in public. "We must be guided as public servants and as NDC we must consciously pay attention to these matters and even if you want to make a donation, you must wrap it or envelope it," he advised.
