The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has assured that its missing containers of cables will soon be identified and retrieved.

An investigative report revealed that ECG had 2,491 uncleared containers filled with cables and other essential equipment at the Tema Port.

However, an independent audit found only 1,134 containers, leaving 1,357 unaccounted for.

Appearing before the Energy Committee of Parliament, the Acting Managing Director of the ECG, Kwame Kpekpena says there is a collaboration with the Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority to retrieve the missing containers. "The Port authorities - GPHA has been working with us to identify where they are.
