The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has identified 92 crow nests along power lines during a recent inspection exercise from Akyawkrom through Kuntenase to Bekwai in the Ashanti Region.

This discovery is part of efforts by ECG's Ashanti Sub-Transmission team to address increasing disruptions in power supply caused by the activities of crows.

The ECG said these birds have become a growing concern due to the damage their nesting habits cause to transmission infrastructure.

Head of Public Relations for the Ashanti Sub-Transmission, Collins Manu, stated that as part of ECG's commitment to delivering uninterrupted power, the company is prioritizing proactive, wildlife-related solutions. "By addressing these disruptions, the company aims to safeguard service reliability and improve customer satisfaction across the Ashanti Region.
