The running mate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer, , (NAPO), has urged people living in Zongo communities not to vote for the opposition (NDC).

Speaking in a viral video clip from a campaign event sighted by GhanaWeb, NAPO accused the NDC of demolishing mosques, the places of worship of Muslims.

He, therefore, urged them to vote massively against the NDC in the pending December 7, 2024, general election if they want their mosques to continue standing.

NAPO added that after destroying the mosques in Zongo communities, the NDC would build them mortuaries. "They are the ones who demolish mosques.

If you live in a Zongo and you vote for the NDC, when they come to power, they will destroy your mosques. "After that, they would construct a mortuary for you so that after your death you would be put there," he said in Twi.

He went on to ask them whether they would vote for a leader who would build them hospitals or a leader who would build mortuaries. "Do you prefer a person who builds you hospitals or the one who would build you mortuaries?

Do you want hospitals or mortuaries?" he quizzed.
